Her Christmas present is this cool device called a static line. Secured between 2 trees, she can walk the rope barefoot. Apparently while mom and dad were out on a run, Jasmine was learning how to walk a tightrope, without any fear.
What better way to treat oneself after a busy day of playing than to make a batch of cookies...and lick the beaters, of course.
Thanks to Hannah's mom, we got a snapshot of how much fun J has when left with Hannah for 4 hours. And why J falls asleep minutes after being placed in her carseat.Shane and I had the chance, for the second weekend in a row, to do a 15 mile run out on the glorious trails and canyons of the American River. I guess we're finally getting the hang of this parenting thing, trying to achieve balance, trying to carve out time to be together and do the things we love. I DO NOT KNOW how parents do it with more than 1 kiddo.
Next stop? A night out? A movie?

OK - Hannah looks like a real gem - worth her weight in gold (actually - a rock climber and looking at her relative size - maybe 2X her weight!)
You'll find your ways to carve out parent time - although your fav hobby is more 'time intensive' in ways than many! Sometimes with more than one kid they kind of 'amuse each other' too!
It really IS all about balance....both for the parents and the kids - and in more ways than one! ;)

na darlings hate being left with anyone however they don't mind Aiden Big Bro so now he is legally allowed to baby sit! Yes you have to be 14 years at least here in NZ. We can finally snatch moments but has taken us 14 years or so to do it!
However afternoon naps are a great time to spend time napping or reading!(usually napping though!)

How great to have such a great babysitter!! You can enjoy your together time sooooo much more knowing J is having so much fun!! As to having more than 1 kiddo, we don't get a lot of alone time but know that sooner than we (ok maybe I) would like, the kids will be grown and we will have all the together time we want, til the Grand kids start arriving!!!! YIKES!!! Cna you imagine how many grandkids we will have???? LOL!!
