We're still alive, haven't completely disappeared from the face of the earth. But since coming back from our trip life has been happening at warp speed and we are trying to catch our collective breath. Jasmine, on the other hand, hasn't missed a beat.

Within a couple of weeks of our return from Ireland, Shane was offered a new job with a different company. With barely enough time to consider his options, he has been whisked away to Florida for a 10-day work trip. I can hardly wait to wrap my arms around him tomorrow when he arrives back home. In the meantime, my mom came up to help me last week for a few days by staying home with Jasmine on those days that Shane was normally home with her. We were so grateful to have her here with us.
I tell ya, I don't know how those single, working parents do it. It's not that it's not do-able, it's just hard. I feel like there's never enough time, mostly not enough time to be with Jasmine during my work week. Thankfully I don't work on Fridays so J and I try to make every minute count of our 3 day weekend. Still, there's a lot to do and I find myself having to slow down to not expect my 3 year old to operate at the same pace as me.
We have much to be thankful for this year, and we will be happy to count our blessings on Thanksgiving Day.

Glad that ya'll are good - was a tad worried! I can relate to job changes and road trips too - it's just plain hard on everybody when one is away!
And yeah - we've got more to be thankful for than ever - just cool ya know?
